Adox Adonal (Rodinal) is an acutance enhancing black-and-white film developer made in Germany. Adonal is produced according to Agfa Leverkusen's original and most recent Rodinal formula from 2004, so it doesn't get more Rodinal than this. Adox worked together with former Agfa scientists on all Agfa replacement products including Adonal. If you have used Rodinal in the past you will achieve identical results with Adox Adonal. Same product, different label.
When compared to Rodinal R09 or APH09 film developers, Adonal results in more fine-grained negatives while still enhancing overall sharpness and acutance.
Adox Adonal is a one-shot film developer and can not be re-used! Possible dilution varies between 1+25 to 1+500. Higher dilution means lower contrast and finer grain. When using high dilutions and small developing tanks please make sure to allocate on each 35mm or 120 film at least 5ml of concentrated developer.
When developing sheet films you'll have to use 5ml of concentrate for each 4 sheets size 4x5" or one sheet of 8×10".
