Schrijf eerste reviewThe Kaiser FilmCopy Vario is a stable holding device for the exact positioning of slides and negatives of various formats during digitization with a camera mounted to a copy stand or tripod. The negatives or positives have to be illuminated during the digitization process. For that it is recommended to use the flat Slimlite Plane light boxes from Kaiser with a minimum size of 22 x 16 cm (8.7 x 6.3 in.).
The FilmCopy Vario comes with an insert for 35mm slides mounted in 5 x 5 cm slide mounts and with a mask for digitizing standard 35mm film strips (24 x 36 mm) with guide ridges for easy positioning.
FilmCopy Vario is an expendable system which can adapted to your needs. With the appropriate format masks or glass inserts (each available as a separate accessory) the FimCopy Vario can also be used with film strips or single negatives/slides of the following sizes: 4.5 x 6 cm, 6 x 6 cm, 6 x 7 cm, 6 x 9 cm and 24 x 66 mm (panoramic).
These inserts and masks can be changed easily. Mounted 35mm slides can be placed directly onto the device. When placing film strips, the pressure frame has to be opened. The bottom part of the device has adjustable stop pins to adjust the FilmCopy to the appropriate film size and four steplessly adjustable masking strips.
The FilmCopy Vario comes with an overlay mat size 254 x 201 mm (10 x 7.9 in.) that serves as protection against stray light.
The FilmCopy Vario (w/o masks, w/o overlay mat) weighs approx. 600 g (1.3 lbs.).
