Washi Film X 100 135-36
Washi Film X has returned! Back in 2015 we offered the first batch of the experimental, maskless 35mm color film. An experiment by Lomig Perrotin that was based on 400 ISO color film stock with no orange mask that was mainly used for aerial surveillance. Since the availability of the emulsion was limited, Film X was also available for a limited time.
Until now as the color film is brought to life again by Washi Film under the form of a ISO 100 emulsion instead of a ISO 400 film and with 36 exposures instead of 24. Film X is still a maskless color film with a nice grainy texture and high color saturation. The film can be developed in standard C-41 color negative film developing process but since the film has a transparant base it is also possible to process it as a slide film in the E6 process which will give you warm toned slides.
The film is coated onto a polyester base and must be loaded and unloaded under subdued light to avoid lightleaks.
As Film X is made using recycled 35mm cartridges, there is no DX code available, please use manual ISO settings on your camera.
