The Bellini RA-4 Print Kit is a complete and easy to use kit for the development of RA-4 color paper in small volumes. The process consists of three baths (color developer, bleach-fix and a stabilizer) and is mainly suitable for (small) roll processors such as JOBO CPP/CPE/CPA or Durst RCP. The kit, like any other Bellini product, is produced locally in Italy at the highest quality standards. Moreover, the price tag of this kit is a lot smaller compared to Tetenal's Colortec Kit which makes making your own analog color photo prints accessible for everyone!
The color developer and the bleach-fix come in two parts and need to be mixed with water to get the right working solution. Also with this kit the development of the color paper is done at a temperature of 35 °C. Development at room temperature usually requires a doubling of the applicable times. Contrary to Tetenal's RA-4 kit, Bellini's process does require a stabilizer as a final bath for a long lasting quality print. The included stabilizer concentrate has a large dilution ratio. It is recommended to renew the bath per m² of developed photo paper.
The created work solution has a shelf life of 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the quantity already used. Opened concentrates have a shelf life of several months. After use, the working solutions are best stored in light-proof (accordion) bottles and can be treated with an anti-oxidation spray such as Tetenal Protectan to maximize the shelf life.
