Negative Supply 4x5" Light Source Basic (99 CRI)
The Negative Supply 4x5" Light Source Basic (99 CRI) is an affordable light source designed specifically for film scanning. Accurate color starts with full spectrum light. With a CRI-rating of 99 this version is ideal for critical color (slide) film scanning. While not as bright as the Pro Light series from NS, this model offers the same color accuracy.
Good scans start with good light. A brighter light source allows for higher shutter speeds and sharper images, and additionally allows faster workflows, so you can spend more time taking photos, and less time scanning. While most light sources that are currently on the market do the job but nothing more, Negative Supply wanted to create something specifically for the (analog) camera scanning community. With brighter bulbs the Negative Supply Light Source Basic makes scanning film with a digital camera more easy and straight forward, allowing you to use lower ISO settings and retain higher shutter speeds. This entry level model is up to 2x times brighter than reference models that are currently on the market. It uses side diffusion LED light technology for low energy consumption, is made from fiber reinforced plastic and has an aluminium build.
The unit easily slides under the Pro Mount MK1/MK2 and/or Film Carriers from Negative Supply to illuminate the to be scanned film. It can be used for films up to size 4x5" as the unit has a light area of 4.5x5.5 inch.
The Light Source Basic unit ships with an AC power adapter with adapters for different types of outlets.
