Write first reviewThe Adox Scala B&W Reversal Processing Kit is a complete kit to reverse process black-and-white films. It is the first kit of its kind that doesn't contain any harmful dichromates and other types of corrosives. Another innovative aspect of the kit is the fact that the liquid bleach bath is very stable, diluted working solutions can be stored up to 8 weeks. This allows you to achieve the promised capacity of 8 rolls easily. The bleach concentrate (opened but undiluted) has a shelf life of 8 weeks.
The Adox Scala Kit only consists out of two parts (plus an optional clearing bath), radically simplifying the black-and-white reversal process. Simply mix the developer and bleach 1+1 with water and you're good to go. The film must be re-exposed during the process, this is not required with the Bellini B&W Reversal Kit, for example. The kit can reverse nearly any black-and-white film but is most suitable with films which have an elevated silver content and a clear film base. Though, most black-and-white films have a grayish film base, which means the highlights of these slides will not be as bright as films which have clear PET-base films like Adox Scala, CMS 20 II, Fomapan R100, Rollei Retro, Superpan,...
