Foma Fomatol PW (W24) Warmtone is a specially formulated black and white paper developer in powder form. Fomatol PW contains no hydroquinone (HQ) and iis designed specifically for the manual processing of the Fomatone-line photographic papers, but also works with the Fomabrom and Fomaspeed Variant photographic papers. Fomatol PW features slower developing activity and a warm image tone. The developing capacity of this package is 2-3 sq m) of Fomatone photographic paper (about 50-75 sheets size 8x10" / 20.3 x 25.4 cm).
Developing time at 15 - 20° C for standard and Fomatone warmtone resin-coated (RC) and fiber-based papers is 2 to 3 minutes (undiluted). In a solution of 1:1 dilution, developing time increases to 4 - 6 min, and it goes up to 8 - 12 min when dilution reaches 1:3. For non-warmtone fiber-based papers (Fomabrom), developing time is 3 - 4 min (undiluted). For non-warmtone resin-coated (RC) papers (Fomaspeed Variant III), developing time is 2 - 3 min (undiluted).
Dissolve the contents of the larger and then the smaller bag 700 ml of warm water at 40° C and then add water until the total volume equals 1 liter. Fomatol PW yields results similar to those produced by the Harman Warmtone Paper Developer.
