The CineStill T6 TungstenLight First Developer is part of CineStill's Cs6 E-6 developing proces for color slide film and is intended to be used with the Cr6 Color&Reversal 2-in-1 and the Bf6 Bleach&Fixer 3-in-1 solutions.

Complete instructions on how to use the Cs6 Developing Kits regardless of which first developer is used, can be found here!

The CineStill T6 TungstenChrome First Developer delivers cold tone slides (3200K) and renders approximately 6+ stops of usable dynamic-range with brighter whites and moderately enhanced color saturation. Development in TungstenChrome will enable you to make pictures on color slide film in artificial (tungsten) light without any stop compensation during development, which is the case with normal E-6 developers. Shooting under artificial light requires the use of a special color filter and results in loss of film speed. For example, Kodak Ektachrome E100 must be exposed at ISO 25 with an 80A filter when used in tungsten light (3200K), losing 2 stops. When using no filter and developed in T6, Ektachrome can be rated at box speed or even be pushed two stops when shooting in tungsten light.

T6 is delivered in a liquid 1L stock solution that makes 2L of single-use working solution (1+1 dilution) to develop 8-16 rolls (135/120), 32-64 sheets (4x5"), or 30,5m of 35mm color slide film.

  • Coldtone Development: 1+1 Dilution ~ 6min @40°C
