This makes them an affordable alternative to the somewhat larger bottles of selenium toner on the market today. Ideal for those who want to work with a selenium toner for the first time. The toner is suitable for all analog black-and-white photographic papers, both with a fiber base (FB) and a resin-coated base (RC).
The toner has a triple use, it is initially suitable to give black-and-white prints a nice sepia tone at dilution 1+10. At a higher dilution of 1+20, the toner can be used to give the black tones of your prints more power.
Not only can this toner improve the look of prints, also the permanence of the print remains significantly longer. When applying the toner, a chemical reaction takes place with the remaining silver that is sensitive to light. This reduces the chance that prints will fade after a number of years. This improved permanence is achieved when the selenium toner is used as a toner and as an intensifier for black tones. But it is also possible to use this toner only as a print stabilizer without changing the tone of the print very much. In that case, a high dilution of 1+200 to 1+400 must be used.
