By adapting cinema stock for C-41 processing, it provides a "dreamy" look that traditional consumer films can't replicate.
Emulsion Base: Derived from Kodak Vision3 250D motion picture film.Daylight Balanced: Unlike many cinema-based films (which are often Tungsten-balanced), TREAT is designed for 5500K light. This means skin tones remain natural and skies stay blue without needing a warming filter.
The "Halo" Effect: Without the Remjet backing (a black carbon layer used in movie cameras to prevent light reflection), light bounces off the back of the film base. This creates a striking red halation where bright highlights meet dark shadows.Color Palette: Expect warm, nostalgic, and summery tones with moderate grain and high dynamic range.
Please note, as they continue to refine this product, you might notice some charming quirks—such as marks on the first frame and light leaks on the first two to three frames, adding character much like the sample photos demonstrate.
