Kodak films are now available both through distributor Kodak Alaris and directly from the manufacturer, Kodak Eastman. These are the exact same films, sometimes sold under a different name. Since we can offer Kodak Eastman films at a lower price, they will eventually replace the Kodak Alaris versions. This Ektacolor Pro 160 is identical to Portra 160.
The Kodak Ektacolor Pro 160 4x5" sheet film is a legendary professional-grade color negative film engineered for portrait and studio photographers who demand an exceptionally accurate rendering of skin tones, ultra-fine grain, and a soft, predictable contrast. Rated at a versatile sensitivity of ISO 160, this emulsion offers superior exposure latitude and detailed shadow retrieval, making it equally reliable in controlled studio setups, variable outdoor daylight, or ambient indoor lighting.
Optimized for natural color fidelity, subtle primary colors, and smooth tonal gradations that prevent harsh highlights, Ektacolor Pro 160 allows photographers to work with selective depth of field or capture delicate highlights without sacrificing edge sharpness. The film is processed using the standard C-41 developing process.
