Write the first reviewThe Valoi Scanning Hood shields the film from external light during scanning. This is important if you want to keep the room lights on to get good quality scans. With these scanning hoods, you can leave some lights on in the room and create a more comfortable working environment.
The 35mm version is only compatible with the standard Valoi 35mm Film Holder, not with the holders from the Custom Series. You can use the Scanning Hoods on any Valoi configuration: with the Advancer, with just the light adapter, or when using only the holder.
The 120 version is only compatible with the Valoi 120 film holder.
The hoods are made with FDM printing using a carbon fiber filled plastic. They have a very matte surface that ensures no reflections back on the films. To use the hoods, you just slide them on from one side of the holder. The attachment mechanism ensures that the hood stays on even if you move the holder.
