Vintage Visual 5x7" Film Reel for Paterson Developing Tank
The 5x7" Film Reel from Vintage Visual allows you to develop up to two sheets of 5x7" or 13x18cm sheet film in a Paterson Multi-reel 5 or 8 Developing Tank. The reel can easily be loaded by inserting the films with emulsion side facing inward between the two columns. Once they are slide down in the holder, the top holder can be attached which keeps the sheets firmly in place. After developing, remove the top holder by placing your thumbs in the center hole and using your index fingers to pull it off.
The reel is designed to achieve great results with both manual inversion processing but also with rotary processing using the AGO Film Processor. In the first case the tank should contain at lease 1.350ml of chemicals per reel. In the second case the tank cannot contain less than 350ml of chemicals if it concerns a Multi-reel 5 tankd and 500ml if it contains a Multi-reel 8 tank.
The 5x7" Reel can also be used in combination with the Paper 5 Reel as an insert to split the inner compartment into two sections. This allows for the simultaneous development of multiple prints up to 5x7 inches in size. When using it as an insert, the top holder is not needed.
