Washi Film BAMBOO 12,7x17,8cm Photographic Paper B&W grade 3 - 110gr 12 sheets
This fine art bamlboo paper has been handmade in Japan by Awagami Factory and hand coated in france by Film Washi.
Each pack contains 12 Sheets of phtographic paper and 12 smaller stripes for your exposure tests. Emulsion side is the smoothest, backside is roogher.
It can be exposed and processed like any other fiber base photographic paper, but do not use any acid solution as stop bath, just simple water.
Unlike industrial papaers, there is no white baryte layer between the paper base and the emulsionso, once soaked into chemistry, darker spots can appear on the print, especially during fixing, this is normal and caused by local difference of fiber density in the paper base. This will not be visible after drying.
For drying, place the wet print on a glass or white board then tape it with brown kraft paper tape. Do not use squeegee on the print as it can damage the emulsion.It remains an handcrafted product. This beautiful handmade bamboo paper cannot be as perfect and regular as industrial papers and can sometime show little variation in fiber or coating.
