Write the first reviewAlthough many cameras such as the Baby Rolleiflex are absolute technical marvels, finding new colour film for these cameras can feel like a treasure hunt.
The Rera RG 200 has essentially become the “last resort” for 127 colour photographers who don't feel like cutting their own rolls from 120 film. The Rera RG 200 (Kodak Gold) has been re-emulsified by Kawauso Shoten, as it is essentially Kodak Gold 200, giving it a specific “vibe” that vintage cameras find difficult to match with modern digital sensors.
The “golden” glow: it is known for its warm rendering of skin tones and yellows. In a vintage 127 camera, which often has slightly softer or single-coated lenses, this warmth adds a nice, nostalgic “California summer feel”.
The exposure latitude: Because it is a consumer colour negative film, it is incredibly forgiving. If your vintage shutter is a little slow or you miss your exposure by a stop, the film will handle it gracefully.
Easy to develop: Because the film uses the standard C-41 process, you can have it developed at any professional lab (and some local labs), but you'll need to check that they have the correct spools for 127.
